One of the biggest concerns of my hometown of Rotterdam is, of course, the crime. Another concern is, how to reduce the crime. Then came even a bigger concern. Cybercrime. Now, the City of Rotterdam is working closely with the local police force to reduce cybercrime.

For example at the market in your village, for primary school or at a conference. The police come to you, they want to hear your opinion about what is important to you. That covers different topics. The idea behind The Mobile Media Lab is not new in my hometown of Rotterdam. I have seen the local police force driving a similar mobile truck and parking in and out of my neighborhood in the past. The concept of fighting cybercrime is new, though. It shows that the city of Rotterdam and the local police are working very hard and behind the scenes to keep the people of Rotterdam safe.
