One of my favorite places to visit in The Netherlands is the Rotterdam Train Central Station. I sometimes joke about how it is well designed, constructed and sophisticated than most airports in many countries around the world.
Terminal
I am familiar with the previous terminal. It was not bad at all. I used to travel in and out of Rotterdam through the old terminal. In 2014, the new terminal was opened. The modern architecture is truly iconic.
Building
Rotterdam already has amazing buildings with unique shapes. What I really love about the Rotterdam Central Station building is the triangular shape. I often think about the designers, developers and constructors.
Traveling
The experience of traveling to and from Rotterdam Central Station has indeed, been upgraded to another level of excellence. If you visit the Netherlands, I would highly recommend you visit the central station.
Train
Even though the Rotterdam Central Station is an international train station, it often looks and feels like a small international airport. It is huge. You can easily catch train from there to The Hague, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris and London.
