Last month, I was offered the unique opportunity to follow a basic course on special logistics inside the building and within their institution associated with another Dutch education company. Completed the course yesterday and received my certification.

Rijnmond-Bouw is the training company for anyone who wants to work in construction. We want to help ambitious new construction professionals. Their background is not decisive. Their motivation and commitment are. That is why Rijnmond-Bouw trains pre-vocational secondary education students, with or without a diploma, who prefer to work with their hands. But also long-term jobseekers and people with a slight distance from the labor market. If someone is driven and his heart goes out to construction, he is welcome. Then we will work together for success! This makes Rijnmond-Bouw a commercial organization with a social heart. The point of departure is the delivery of enthusiastic workers to the contracting company that is waiting for future craftsmen with character. The apprentice employees receive a basic training of 20 weeks. Four days a week they are intensively supervised in the workshop by passionate instructors. The fifth day they have theory lessons at school. With this screening and baggage, they are able to get paid work at a construction company. And I am very grateful and proud of my new set of skills and knowledge. I cannot wait to put what I have learned into real-life practice. The team of trainers were professional, patient and well-experienced when it comes to teaching and training beginning students.
Technology
While there, I witnessed so many amazing experiments, research and testing on modern construction and building. I was totally amazed about how far and advanced modern construction has come. I am looking forward to seeing where we are going with modern construction. Sustainable but affordable housing.
